Mon pays c'est l'hiver is the title of a song by Gilles Vigneault, and an appropriate title for this portfolio. I started visiting and photographing Montreal in the 1990s and lived there from 2015-2017. In 2018, I was invited to spend a month-long residency at Burren College of Art. This is a project that emerged from an extended period of time in the darkroom. All the images are of Montreal, shot with a 35mm camera between 2015 and 2018, and are postcard-sized.
